The subrecipient planned to operate 11 programs with its grant funds. The audit objective is to examine the status of the subrecipient's HUD-approved activities and challenges, if any, in implementing the activities.

2015 Disaster Grant Funds for a Texas Grantee
HUD OIG is auditing a Texas grantee’s 2015 disaster program. In 2016 and 2017, HUD awarded the grantee more than $87 million to address unmet needs from disasters that occurred in 2015. The audit objective is to determine whether the grantee administered and expended its 2015 flood disaster funding in accordance with HUD and its requirements.

The authority owns and manages public housing units for low-income families, and conducts administrative functions for other housing agencies under interagency agreements. The review objective is to determine whether the authority administered its operating and capital funds, as well as funds received under interagency agreements, in accordance with applicable requirements.
