Summary

HUD OIG is conducting the FY 2026 evaluation of the HUD's information security (InfoSec) program and practices. FISMA requires all IGs to assess the effectiveness of the InfoSec program of their respective Federal agency on an annual basis. Our objectives are to (1) perform an independent evaluation of the effectiveness of HUD’s InfoSec program and practices; (2) test the effectiveness of HUD’s InfoSec policies, procedures, and practices; (3) assess the maturity level of HUD’s InfoSec program and practices against the Inspector General FISMA Reporting Metrics; (4) prepare responses for each applicable CyberScope FISMA questions.
