Summary
HUD OIG is initiating an evaluation of the monitoring of elevated blood lead levels (EBLL) by property owners in multifamily properties receiving Section 8 project-based rental assistance (PBRA). Our review will cover the period of calendar year 2020 to 2025. Our objectives are to (1) assess property owners’ and management agents’ roles and responsibilities related to EBLLs in multifamily properties receiving Section 8 PBRA and (2) assess HUD’s expectations for property owners and management agents when monitoring, reporting, and tracking EBLLs in multifamily properties receiving Section 8 PBRA.
